The founder of the forensic linguistic school of language profiling® is one of the world's best language experts. Raimund Drommel has been the terror of all anonymous criminals since 1986, having now processed over 1,800 cases.
As a language profiler, Drommel taught linguistics, language psychology, phonetics and criminal science at various universities in Germany and abroad.
In connection with the language profiling® he developed, he was, among other things,
- from 1988 to 1999: Advisory expert for the Federal Prosecutor General with a focus on “Language analytics – combating terrorist violent crime” (in close cooperation with the State Security, with the Federal Prosecutor Dr. Peter Pöpperl and with Rudi Geil, Minister of the Interior and Sport of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate ),
- from 1988 to 1999: Permanent guest lecturer at the Baden-Württemberg Police Academy for “Language as a Crime Tool” (Head: Criminal Directors Wolfgang Stein and Manfred Holder),
- from 1993 to 1998: Visiting professor for “Forensic Text Studies” at the Institute of Criminal Science at the University of Cologne (directors: criminal law professors Dr. Hans Joachim Hirsch and Dr. Günther Kohlmann).
Since 1986, not a week has passed without Raimund Drommel analyzing texts that are in question. Through this extensive work, he acquired a wealth of experience that no other forensic linguist has in this field internationally.
But what is special about Raimund Drommel's forensic linguistic method? – No one else uses linguistic, psychological and criminological approaches to text analysis.
After his Spiegel bestseller The Code of Evil (Heyne HC 2011), Drommel presented the scientifically based volume Language Profiling - Basics and Case Studies (Frank & Timme 2015).
